I think most of us who are proud of where they work and want to promote their brand want to share the successes of our employer in social media. But for many, clear guidelines have never been provided on what should be shared or even, whether it should be shared at all. A recent study of global corporations caught my eye because of that very topic. They call it “social media marketing governance,” and they talk about the fashion retailer Nordstrom which has policies to provide employees with knowledge, direction, and expectations. The article, “Elements of strategic social media marketing: A holistic framework” published this month in Volume 7 of the Journal of Business Research.
